Meetings

February 6, 2008

Present:   Penny, Jodi, Valarie, Brandi, Nita, and Elizabeth.

1.    Hodges Gardens - Cancelled.  Between the drive and admission cost of $5 per person, it's just too much, especially for larger families.

2.    Knowledge Fair - Cancelled.    The feelings of those present are that as it seems that only five projects would be done (Neysha was still unsure, but since the Knowledge Fair was scheduled two weeks from now, we acted under the assumption that those children would also be unable to participate), and the participation level simply isn't high enough to proceed.

3.    Monthly meetings - Questionable.    Participation and attendance is steadily dropping off. 

4.    Park dates - Still a great idea.  Our kids really enjoy getting out together, and we should not stop that at all.  Some of the kids watch this website, and are waiting for more pictures ....

5.    August meetings - Still on, there are many parents who desire to homeschool, and we should be there for them.
